A non-invasive sensor unit having external pressure sensors and heart sound microphone, is fixed to patient's thoracic wall to obtain left ventricular pressocardiogram and phonocardiogram at rest, during exercise and after exercise. The characteristic diastolic parameters are calculated from pressocardiogram curve and phonocardiogram and are automatically categorized, based on a categorization criteria. An independent claim is also included for rapid non-invasive left ventricle diastolic function parameter measurement apparatus.
