The rolling bearing has at least one bearing race (3) assembled from several segments (4) and in which roll the rolling bodies (5), and a segmented flange (8) in at least one axial end section of the bearing race. The flange has a run-on face (9) which for each bearing segment in the proximity of its end faces assumes the form of a transition profile, as a result of which the run-on face deviates from the end faces of the rolling bodies increasingly as the end faces of the race segments come nearer.
