The sample cutter for performing a laparoscopy has a fixed handle (2) and a movable handle (6) on a linkage (4) at an angle to an elongated tube (10), with a movable cutter (14) at the distal end. A rod inside the tube controls the cutter. A housing (8) at the proximal end has a connection for a fluid hose (18) and contains a pusher (20) which grips the proximal end of the rod and is moved by the pivoting handle. The assembly includes a fastening handwheel (16).
