The working medium valve (10) for a dental tool holder (1) has a valve element and an operating component which has an eccentric and which is variable by a stepper motor to adjust the valve element against the action of a spring to control the volume flow. A setting component is provided for the adjustment of the neutral position of the operating component and is accessible from the outside. The setting component is in the form of a regulating screw through which the angular position of the operating component is adjustable. An independent claim is included for a dental tool holder with the proposed valve to control the volume flow of the working medium.
