The invention relates to a mobile protection device for floods and floodwater disasters, which if necessary can be erected and dismantled extremely rapidly. The elements of the protection device, when not in use, lie on the ground and are only erected if there is a risk of flooding. The construction that forms the protection device is positioned on the ground on the bank to be protected and is fixed into the ground e.g. by means of bolts or screws. The construction comprises identical construction sections, which are produced from aluminium profiles that are placed next to one another in the longitudinal direction of the front that is to be protected and that are self-supporting, consisting of a base support and two collapsible supports that combine to form a triangular construction. The flood protection wall is configured from cover plates, whose span is supported by the construction.
