One end of leaf spring (2) presses onto optical fibre cable (4) and forms a wedge, permitting cable insertion but preventing its pull-out. The cable release is provided by loosening of a screw (3) etc. The special part (6) is of plastics protects the FOT (1) against interfering light and provides FOT mechanical fixing and optical aligning with cable, holding it by a bracket. Thus no cable plugs are required.
