During building reconstruction, a cover/cap produced on a starch base seals up cavities/hollows like branch boxes, switch boxes, plug sockets, wiring channels, etc. so as to protect them from dirt accumulation. Once decomposed, the cover/cap also releases the cavities/hollows or it shows up their positions under a thin skimming of mortar or cement through discoloration in the skimmed coating.
