A flat diaphragm (3) is integrated in or attached to an ultrasonic vibration generating element (1) having an integral vibrating head (2). The element is arranged in a single or multi-part can-shaped housing. A disc is applied to the vibrating head within the housing, over the diaphragm, and extends to the housing. The space between the housing and the element is filled with an elastic, water-tight compound (4).
