The prosthesis (W) is attached to the calf of the leg (B), without surgical intervention. It may be filled with flexible plastics foam or rubber latex. It tapers from thin edges to a comparatively thick central portion. It is shaped like a teardrop in plan view, and its inner surface is shaped to fit onto the calf region of the wearer's leg. The prosthesis may be covered by a thick sock (S).
