In an open system, the sensor comprises one or more interconnected gas-filled cavities from which the pressure produced by the compression due to an external force escapes through one or more precisely defined openings to the outside. The quantity and flow rate of the compressed gas flowing to the openings is measured by one or more measuring units (6). An evaluation unit determines the force and speed of the pressure exerted on the measuring unit. Further claims are included for a closed system.
