The air humidifier consists of at least one water-permeable container (1) and at least one collecting vessel (3) which is not water-permeable and made of cold set clay and/or clay ceramic and also of porous and preferably mineral materials (4). The container can be designed in different sizes, shapes and colours. Several containers can form a unit and the unit can be X-times optionally expanded. The water used for air humidification evaporates by percolation, and the evaporation is assisted by circulation.
