The fastening device for a toolbox has a slide, and longitudinal slots in the upper and lower sides of the box. Longitudinal slots in the slide have connecting holes in the sidewalls, and the inner wall of the slots on the underside of the box has at least one fastening block, on the underside of which is a fastening slot. Several fastening spigots are provided on the upper side of a fastening plate (30), whereby on the rear underside a rib (32) with a fastening key (33) is located on the inner side. Spigots (31) on both sides of the fastening plate engage in the holes on both sides of the slots in the slide.
