The belt (1) has a base (2) of plastic and an optional top material (3) fitted on the base. The side edges of the belt are each reinforced by roll (4) of plastic and/or a roll provided with a rubber coating. The base and rolls are constructed in one piece as a cast or extruded lining of plastic. The rolls are U-form in construction and by one of its sides (8) connected to the base. The top material is fitted in opposite lying slots (9) between the sides of the rolls.
