The unit for the material-specific sorting of a hollow component volume has at least one conveyor unit (1) allocated to a delivery container, and a magnetic separator (2) as well as an additional separator unit (5) constructed as a compressed air separator, for example, to separate the components into heavy and light fractions. A conveyor unit (6,10) is provided for the respective separated heavy and light fractions, with the conveyor for light fractions leading to an induction separator unit (12) for the separation of aluminum and plastic. Further conveyor units (13,16) are allocated to the induction separator.
