A pouring jug for bag packed liquids, e.g. milk, has the top edge of the bag clamped between two clamping flanges (I) operated by a knob and an eccentric drive. The bag grip is clamped onto the outer handle of the jug with one corner of the bag positioned on the lip of the jug, e.g. over the pouring point. The corner is simply cut off and the liquid can be poured directly from the bag.
