The connecting arrangement has a metal fastening element (2) with a threaded shank (12) and a head (14), the threaded shank having a thread of saw-tooth profile with fine pitch and conical outer contour, and a plastic component (4) with a conical smooth-walled bore (8), the cone angle of which corresponds to that of the thread's outer contour. The dimensions of the thread and conical bore are matched so that when fitting the threaded shank into the conical bore the thread spaces of the threaded shank are at least partially filled with plastic material. An independent claim is included for a metal fastening element for a connecting arrangement.
