The device is assembled of two parts in the shape of a longitudinally separated pipe section. Each of the parts can be individually attached to the handle or opening serving as handle provided at a plastic or canvas shopping bag in order to relief the pressure created when a heavy content has to be carried. The longitudinal edges can be engaged forming a pipe section around a thin string or strap if required. For transport one of the items can be accommodated inside the other.
