Pivoting door comprises a door leaf pivotably arranged in a side wall of a vehicle and having a leaf frame consisting of a profile strip (1) made of hard material on at least the upper edge and the side edges. The profile strip has a base body (1.1) having on the side facing the door frame two sealing ribs (1.3, 1.4) running in the longitudinal direction of the profile strip and parallel to the door leaf plane. The first sealing rib (1.3) lying on the outer side of the door leaf has on its free end a receiving groove (1.33) for the foot of a seal containing an electrical switching strip. The second sealing rib (1.4) lying on the inner side of the door leaf has on its side facing the interior of the vehicle a sealing surface for contact with a sealing lip of a seal arranged on the door frame. A channel (2) running along the profile strip is arranged between the first and the second rib. An independent claim is also included for a profile strip used in the construction of the above pivoting door.
