The skate has right and left side-plates (10,20), each with four in-line bearing holes (12,22) along their bottom edges. Each plate has a mounting bracket (A-C) at its front and rear end. The mounting brackets on the two plates are designed to lock together. The brackets on the right plate have flat top surfaces (A1,B1) with apertures (A4,B4) and sideways-extending tongues (A2,B2) fitting onto grooves (C3,D3) in the left mounting brackets. The flat plates (C2,D2) on the left brackets fit under the plates on the right brackets.
