The box to hold cigarette packets has a bottom, a lower front wall (16), a higher rear wall (12) and two trapezoidal side walls (14,18), whereby the cigarette packet stands above the box. A bend flap (26) is provided on the front wall of the box and forms a vertical extension of the lower front wall and bends over inwards and in the bent over state presses against the cigarette packet. The flap carries an inscription with regard to the size or shape of the cigarette packet to be accommodated.
