A helical spring (3) wider at the lower end and pointed at the top is attached to the upper surface of a rectangular plate (2) which is provided with several radial arranged curved slots (6). A joint element (4), to be used as a plug is either produced separately and attached to the tip of the spring (3) or permanently joined. An appropriate number of these modules (1) can be connected in order to form an elastic mattress supporting platform.
