The frame for a security door or window has an armored frame (36,38) and a bullet resistant glass pane (15,24) mounted in a pivoted leaf frame. The frames are made of steel profiles (9-11,29,30) with a planking (2,22) formed by plates (2a,2b) made of resistant steel. The opposing edges of the plates have covers behind which are resistant steel inserts.
