Hand device for cleaning the gaps between stone or slab paving comprises a handle in the form of a hollow profile (1) in which the bottom ends of at least one bundle (3) of steel wires are mounted. The top ends of the steel wires facing away from the handle are used as scraping ends for cleaning the gaps. The bottom ends of the steel wires are fixed in a sliding block (2), which can be axially displaced in the hollow profile. The steel wires are narrowly guided and supported in a fixed insert part (4) at the outlet end of the handle hollow profile. Preferred Features: The sliding block can be fixed in any infinitely variable displacement position in the handle hollow profile. At least two steel wire bundles are provided in their own displacement bushing (6).
