The sheet folding apparatus folds A4 paper to fit into standard envelopes. It has a baseplate (1) carrying a rectangular sheet stop (3) and a folding arm plate (2). The arm plate and the baseplate may have at least one angled edge. There may be at least one recess (4) in the baseplate and arm plate for ease of insertion and at least one recess for removal of the sheet either as it stands or in the folded form.
