Automatic control of printer transfer voltage and fixer temperature - using manual feed option to require paper selection which will automatically produce transfer voltage and required temperature of fixer

An option to use manual feed (70) is confirmed by a detector at the manual entry slot. If confirmed the user is asked to enter type of paper by keyboard and if this is done (74) the correct transfer voltage (76) and fusion temperature (78) are automatically used given a print command (80). As soon as paper entry by the detector at the manual slot ceases, the system reverts to normal paper mode also if no paper selection is made (74) the presence of a print command (84) will lead to transfer tension and fusion temperature values (86,88) appropriate to normal paper being used.
