The keyboard has at least one keyboard surface (4) of flexible thin glass plate (2) and at least one bearer plate (3) with electrically conducting coatings on their facing surfaces held apart by a holder. The conducting coatings come into essentially point contact when the flexible plate is pressed. Penetration protection (8) between the flexible thin glass plate and the bearer plate prevents excessive deformation of the plate under loading.
