The range extender increases the height adjustment range of a levelling foot (40) having an annular support surface, and a spacer ring (10) with a complementary annular projection (13) and recess (15) around its inside edge on opposing sides (12,14). The spacer ring has a slit (20) of given width over its full axial length, allowing it to be fitted over the anchoring bolt (46) projecting from the levelling foot, through the centre of a support ring (44) providing the annular support surface.
