PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a servo adjuster capable of rapidly starting to record/ reproduce information for respective information recording surfaces by rapidly ending to set adjustment values for servo control corresponding to respective information recording surfaces. ;SOLUTION: When servo controlling adjustment values for recording/ reproducing optical information for the information recording surfaces are set, first of all, a specified adjustment value corresponding to one information recording surface is set (step S2), and another adjustment value corresponding to another information recording surface different from one information recording surface is set (step S9 or S14), and the difference data B showing a relation between the specified adjustment value and another adjustment value are calculated to be stored (step S11), and when the specified adjustment value is reset, the specified adjustment value is reset using the another adjustment value set in the past and the difference data B (step S21), and when the another adjustment value is reset, the another adjustment value is reset using the specified adjustment value set in the past and the difference data B (step S23).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
