The disposable straight razor (1, 21, 31) comprises: an elongate body (6, 7, 24, 32); a single, double or triple razor blade assembly (3) mounted in the body (6, 7, 24, 32); the body (6, 7, 24, 32) being molded about the said razor blade assembly (3); the said razor blade assembly (3) extending outwardly from the body (6, 7, 24, 32) a distance of from approximately 0.05 mm to approximately 4 mm; and a cover (2, 26, 46) for the body (6, 7, 24, 32) and the said razor blade assembly (3) which extends over the body (6, 7, 24, 32) and completely over the single, double or triple razor blade assembly (3).
