PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for conveniently and sensitively assaying cholesterol in remnant-like lipoproteins without the need of the separation operation of a sample, and to provide an assay reagent therefor.;SOLUTION: This method for assaying cholesterol in remnant-like lipoproteins in a biological sample features that cholesterol in remnant-like proteins is assayed by acting a cholesterol esterase and a cholesterol oxidase (or a cholesterol dehydrogenase) and a phospholipid-hydrolyzing enzyme on a biological sample to assay formed hydrogen peroxide or reduced coenzyme. This reagent for assaying cholesterol in remnant-like lipoproteins which comprises a cholesterol esterase and a cholesterol oxidase (or a cholesterol dehydrogenase) and a phospholipid-hydrolyzing enzyme is also provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
