PURPOSE: To perform quick transmission power control of high precision which can follow up the distance variance, fading, or the like in the mobile radio equipment adopting the hybrid CDMA system. ;CONSTITUTION: A base station transmits and receives a signal after direct diffusion while hopping two frequency bands f₁ and f₂. On the side of a mobile station 21, outputs of two carrier generation circuits 38 and 39 are switched by a switch 40; and thereby, the signal is received with the frequency f₁ and is transmitted with the frequency f₂ when the transmission frequency of the base station is f₁, and the signal is received with the frequency f₂ and is transmitted with the frequency f₁ when it is f₂. At this time, the reception power level in each hop (duration of the same frequency) is detected by a detection circuit 27 and is used to control the transmission power by a control circuit 34 in the next hop, namely, at the time of transmission with the same frequency as level detection.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
