PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain novel artificial operons for plasmids, etc., comprising artificial operons coding for DsbA, DsbB, DsbC and DsbD and capable of being expressed in a state, in which a foreign protein is solubilized, with maintaining a normal three-dimensional structure. ;SOLUTION: This invention relates to novel artificial operons participating in forming disulfide bonds and coding for Dsb family proteins, i.e., DsbA, DsbB, DsbC and DsbD. As accurate disulfide bond formations are efficiently carried out in periplasm, the operons can be efficiently expressed in a state, in which foreign proteins are dissolved, with maintaining normal three-dimensional structures. The artificial operons are obtained by cloning using a DNA containing structural genes coding for the said 4 Dsb family proteins and the PCR method and forming a polycistronic structure by bonding a synthetic DNA having recognition sequences to various restriction enzymes to the obtained 4 genes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
