A device for detecting and warning of accidents of snow

The invention concerns a device for the detection and automatic alarm of accidents involving people in snowy areas. The invention is characterised in that the device comprises: a detector (11) of the movement of a person wearing said device; a detector (121, 122) of the presence of snow immediately proximate to said person, means (14) for transmitting a detection and alarm signal. The invention is useful for rescuing people caught in avalanches.
