Method of production of a ternary diagram of a mixture and installation for implementing the process

The procedure for producing a ternary diagram for a liquid mixture of at least three ingredients - a lipophilic agent, a surfactant and a solvent - consists of preparing an initial mixture of two of the three ingredients and adding the third gradually while measuring light intensity transmitted through the mixture. Points of inflexion of the light intensity curve marking the passage from cloudy to clear zones are identified and the proportions of the ingredients noted for plotting on a ternary diagram. The procedure is carried out with apparatus comprising a tube (2) to receive the initial mixture, a homogenizer (3), a transmitted light intensity recorder (10), and a computer (11) for identifying the inflexion points.
