The tubular trellised structure which comprises chord members interconnected by spacers is used for making a truss. The spacers are produced continuously from a slender profiled section (14) which has been folded at several points to from a trellis. Each of the successive folded parts producing a new spacer with specific length and orientation is adapted in size and orientation to its position in the geometry of the structure. The trellis is shaped by a device comprising a fixed support frame (13), on which section longitudinal displacement means are arranged, at least two section clamps (15) located in the section longitudinal axis (16) and able to displace longitudinally.
