The equipment consists of a rigid hollow rod (2) which has a larger section (2a) and a smaller section (2b) supporting a case (3). A pressure pin (5) is inset on an upper flat face of the case such that under pressure from the grain above it presses through a covering material (4) against a sheet of pressure sensitive resistance sheet (6) supported by the end of the rigid rod (21). The signal is nearly a linear function of the grain height.
