The shock absorber assembly, for the protective barriers at the walls of motor racing circuits, is an arrangement of rubber tires (P) held in place by vertical holders (32) through them within a retaining envelope. The holders are vertical tubes with mountings (35,37,38,39) to lock them together and to anchor them into the ground. The structures are held together by a tubular covering envelope (33).
