The material for strengthening bones (1) is in the form of pastilles in the shape of a polyhedron. Two opposing surfaces (11,12) are pitched against each other by a set angle (theta) of 10-60degrees. The pastille has a height (L1) of 5-10 mm and a width (L2) of 2-5 mm, with a volume of 13-239 mm3. The pastilles are of a ceramic material, with a calcium phosphate base.
