Continuous torque variator comprises input shaft, cam stage engaging roller followers, second stage of output racks and third stage of pinions transforming linear into rotational movement of planets of output gear train
The torque variator comprises an input shaft (1') rotating relative to a reference part. It has a first stage composed of a cam (2') rotating with the input shaft which resolves a rotational movement into a linear movement by engaging roller followers (3A',3B') guided in a linear movement. A second stage is composed of a simultaneous variation control part (16') of sub-assemblies in periodic linear movement, comprising output racks (7A',7B'), as a function of the input linear movements of the roller followers and the instantaneous configuration of the control part. A third stage comprises a set of pinions mounted on free wheels (11A',11B') which transform the linear movements into rotational movements of planets (13A',13B') of the output epicycloidal gear train. An output part is composed of a crown wheel (14') which superposes the torques of the planets into a continuous unidirectional single torque.
