The present invention relates to a device and a method for controlling and consulting the operating parameters of textile machines comprising electric motors (A), devices (B) for controlling electric motors, sensors (C), actuators (D) and at least one programmable central unit (E). Device characterized in that it is essentially constituted by an electronic circuit (G) forming a local network internal to the machine such as a "field bus" and connecting the devices (B) for controlling the motors (A), the sensors (C) and the actuators (D) at the programmable central unit (E) and by at least one control interface of the machine connected to said electronic circuit (G ) and formed by a computer device (F, F ', J, N) comprising a display screen and a control keyboard.
