Air conditioned tropical house (1) has the walls formed from hollow modular sections (2) which are porous and have an open V-shaped cross section. Walls can contain water and one part (3) of the inner face (4) of each section can be opposed to a second part (5) of adjacent section so that free spaces (6) are defined between the sections. Roof of the building is hyperbolic in shape to form a vent chimney (8) to cause a permanent draught.
