P A scooter comprises a chassis composed of a front part (7), formed of a front arm (8) pivotally supporting a steering shaft (1) carrying a front wheel, of a middle part ( 11) composed of lateral reinforcements (13,14) and a rigid rear element (17), and a rear part (12) composed of a variable geometry member and a fork (4) carrying a wheel back. Elastic suspension means which extend between the lateral reinforcements (13,14) composing the middle part (11) of the chassis, interconnect the front (7) and rear (12) parts of the chassis to which they are articulated, being carried between these parts (12,7) in a suspended manner. The variable geometry member compensates for the deformation of the elastic suspension means during a tilting of the rear part (12) of the chassis, carrying the rear wheel. /P
