P When one when a first terminal (IPT1) belonging to the subnet (SIPN) using the SIP protocol requests the establishment of a communication with a server associated with the first switch (P1) belonging to the subnet ( QSIGN) using the QSIG protocol, and that this communication must be transferred to a second terminal (IPT2) belonging to the subnet (SIPN) using the SIP protocol, these two subnets being linked by a QSIG / SIP gateway (GW) associated with a second switch (P2) of the subnetwork (QSIGN) using the QSIG protocol, the method firstly consists in classically establishing: - a first communication (S1-S2) between the first terminal (IPT1) and the first switch (P1); - then a second communication (S3-S4) between the first switch (P1) and the second terminal (IPT2), - then join these two communications to communicate the first and the second terminal (IPT1, IPT2) via the gateway (GW), the first, and the second switch (P1, P2); It then consists in using conventional functions of the QSIG and SIP protocols to: - establish a third communication between the first and the second terminal (IPT1, IPT2) exclusively inside the subnet ( SIPN) using the SIP protocol; - then release the first communication and the second communication.
