The heald frame assembly for a loom is composed of two uprights (21) and two cross bars (22), and carrier rods (29) for the healds (30). At least one clamp hoop (40) is around the tubular end (28) of the cross bar, where it is connected to the neighboring upright, and where it holds at least one lock (25,26) from a section (21a) of the upright. The connecting zone is formed at a part (35) of the tubular end where it has a convex profile. The clamp hoop acts against the locking forces (F3) applied by the locking unit (23,24).
