The spring hinge comprises two articulated half bodies (2,3) able to rotate between end rest (A) and work (B) positions and a return spring having two branches each acting on the half bodies to return them into the rest position. The male half body comprises an articulation unit and a reception housing (9) for one of the return spring branches. The other female half body comprises an articulation housing receiving the articulation unit and a reception housing (19) for the other branch of the return spring. The articulation unit has a cylindrical back (40) which extends from the male half body to the female half body and partly covers the return spring. An Independent claim is included for a hairpin articulated by the spring hinge.
