A fuseless rifled projectile comprises a sleeve (12) whose end section (16) is closed off by a base thread (18), a front section (14) which reduces conically to a head (22), and an operational member (32) inside the sleeve, which contains a main charge (54) and a booster charge (56) in front. A piercing charge (50) is at the front of the projectile. The operational member has at least one throttling detonation channel of small cross section, and a breakable cover (44).
