The document support (1) includes two opaque sides (2,3) that are hinged (4) so that they are rotatable relative to each other, and a locking device (10) adapted to keep the two sides folded together to retain patient between the two sides. The locking device includes a rod that fits into an opening in a corresponding magnetic element. Hooks (7,8) are also attached to the top of the support opposite to the hinge for attaching the support to a patient's bed.
