The device has a set of units (4,5) to receive a signal (i) emitted from a detector (1) for producing a signal (i2), which is supplied to an integrator (2) during a preset period to measure a total charge carried by the signal (i2). The unit (5) has a Schmitt trigger that passes an input current when an output voltage exceeds a threshold and blocks the current passage when the voltage is below another threshold. The unit (4) has a series capacitor (C1). The unit (5) has a converter associating the input current with the output voltage, and another converter associating an input voltage with an output current. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a radiology apparatus (b) an imaging apparatus (c) a fluoroscopy apparatus.
