The sensor (4) has a normal seal (6). To allow for any weakness in this seal which could cause a gas leak, there are additional sealing precautions that are integrated into the sensor mounting (3). The sensor (4) is screwed into the mounting to fix it, while gripping the ring seal (8) between sensor and mounting. Further, a circular collar (14) edges the mounting, extending axially. The collar is close to the seal.
