An encryption key free software application (1) integrity verification procedure determines a set of executable certificate instructions (4) from an execution memory map generated by a separate electronic circuit, receives and executes it in a virtual machine on a terminal at intervals during application execution to allow continued execution (10) if the signature (8) generated (6) is correct.
